A Site Reliability Engineer (Systems Engineer) is a member of the Technical Services Team who is responsible for maintaining and supporting Linedata hosted solutions on-premise as well as on the public cloud.
The Technical Services SRE team is responsible for uninterrupted functioning of client production environments and works as a tier three technical escalation point for client and environment issues. The primary responsibility of the Site Reliability Engineer will be to work with our product teams that are building highly scalable, containerized, microservice based solutions to deploy, configure and maintain them in Linedata's client environments. This involves designing and building system infrastructure (infrastructure as code), implementing security policies, deploying Linedata suite of products, and ensuring uninterrupted service in a client's production environment. This role will have a strong focus on automation around application infrastructure deployment, and operations.
We have both on-prem as well as cloud hosted models for our clients, but this position will be primarily responsible for our cloud hosting, hence the emphasis would be for someone who has solid experience with networking, security, and infrastructure on multi account AWS environments. This position requires some weekend and out-of-hours availability for on-call rotation, disaster recovery tests, Change Control, and project work.


• Support Linedata's suite of applications on AWS
• Deploy and manage secure Cloud infrastructure using CI/CD and IaC with Harness and Terraform
• Build and maintain production environments as code with scalability, reliability, disaster recovery planning, monitoring, security, and high performance.
• Collaborate with multiple teams throughout the lifecycle of products and services from concept and development to deployment and operations
• Provide clear and timely incident response and contribute to blameless postmortems
• Participate in the improvement of SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs
• Create and maintain thorough technical and procedural documentation
• Engineering graduate or Computer Science Bachelor's degree with 5+ years' experience with IT Infrastructure, Networking & Security.
• Candidate must have solid experience with deploying, maintaining, and supporting scalable cloud-based solution in a production environment.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work on an on-call basis and provide coverage during non-standard business hours including public/market holidays.

Skills Required
• 3-5 years of experience with AWS Cloud Services working in a multi account environment
o Primarily with the following services: EC2, RDS, EKS, VPC, IAM, S3, SecurityHub, GuardDuty, KMS
• Experienced with DevOps environments and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS)
• Experience with Windows Server administration and networking
• Experience scripting in at least one of the following: PowerShell, BASH, Python
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
• Experience with CI/CD processes and tools (Harness preferred)
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools (AWS CloudWatch)
• Experience with GitOps and GitSecOps
• Familiarity with microservice architecture
• Familiarity with MS SQL Server Management and working knowledge of RDBMS
• Familiarity with Windows Systems Administration
• Excellent communication skills; collaborative and personable
• Excellent documentation skills for incidents, architecture diagrams, and runbooks/checklists
• Understanding general InfoSec principles is a plus but is not required
• Linux server administration a plus but not required
• An understanding of securities markets and experience with investment management systems a plus but not required
