Job description

This role will work in the Asset Management division on our platform transformation initiative, delivering a key part of Linedata's future strategy. This program will deliver new modular products utilizing distributed message-based communication, micro services, domain driven design, polyglot persistence, and event sourcing via the CQRS-ES pattern. The new products will be cloud enabled and built using the latest CI and CD technology.  

The senior architect performs a vital role in defining the technical roadmap for the program and guiding our delivery teams in its implementation. The role will be hands on with one or more projects and likely to be involved in defining the core/common aspects of the solution that multiple modules will require. There will be exposure to Linedata senior management in this new and high visibility role.  

The successful candidate will role model best-in-class software development and contribute to the mentoring and growth of more junior team members. It is an ideas-driven team and the architect will challenge the status quo with knowledge of new technologies and/or designs and create vision and supporting missions to foster and enhance the creative environment as well as win in the marketplace.

We are looking for an inspirational technologist who works as one of the team, but who is leading through excellent execution and performance.  


Essential Duties/Responsibilities ·         Working closely with the leadership team, the architecture team, as well as architects on other initiatives/products, leading the overall technology roadmap for the program ·         Build consensus and support effective change management ·         Initiate new ideas and recommend innovative solutions ·         Write high level design/code and contribute to code review ·         Drive the implementation of new technologies and methods   Requirements ·         BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent education. ·         10 - 15+ years of experience developing software in a professional capacity ·         Hands on experience in C# and other OOP languages (.NET preferred) ·         Knowledge of databases and SQL (SQL Server, Oracle) ·         Experience with microservices architecture is essential ·         Experience in multi-threaded, distributed, N-Tier applications and API/REST designs ·         Experience with Domain Driven Design concepts a strong positive ·         Experience designing event sourced and messaging based systems (preferably CQRS) ·         Experience in WPF, Web technologies, and modern UI/UX design principles ·         Experience in designing and delivering Cloud ready solutions, primarily AWS but expertise in Azure and Google is a benefit. ·         Demonstrated experience coming into existing, complex systems and developing a strong phased approach to refactoring and rearchitecting to an ambitious plan. ·         Work well in an agile development methodology. ·         Excellent communication skills and problem solving abilities ·         Ability to work individually and with other engineers in a collaborative manner ·         Knowledge of stock markets, asset types, and other financial concepts a plus
