Job description

Linedata is seeking an individual to work as a Senior Accountant facilitating the support of Client Services & Middle Office Operations. This role is part of our Linedata Gravitas business and supports the fund business of a leading global investment management firm.

Our client is looking to expand the Finance Team through the addition of an Accountant. The Finance Team is responsible for all aspects of accounting for Client's funds, finance companies, joint ventures, and management company. Ideal candidates will be organized, self-motivated, resourceful and able to work effectively with all internal functional groups. The newly created position will expose the candidate to a wide variety of investment products and investment vehicles. The environment is fast-paced and constantly changing and evolving. • Assist in the monthly close process of the Funds, Separately Managed Accounts, and Special Purpose Vehicles:
• Coordination with Operations, Middle Office, and Fund Administrator
• Prepare and review management fee calculations, incentive fee calculations, and capital roll forwards along with reconciliations from the fund administrator.
• Review deal level incentive waterfall allocations.
• Prepare and review requisite journal entries.
• Assist in quarterly unaudited and annual audited financial statement preparation, in coordination with fund administrator.
• Assist in preparation of quarterly board packages and reporting, public filings, and investor reporting.
• Assist in ad hoc requests and special projects


The individual will have demonstrated an ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment with an ability to think broadly about the business, incorporating continual improvement of processes and procedures with a goal of excellence while focusing on accuracy and efficiency.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• CPA preferred
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in public or private accounting
• Big 4 experience preferred
• Working knowledge of hedge and private equity fund structures
• Detail oriented, organized, and analytical
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills
