Job description

Main Accountabilities:

• Ensure and maintain the uptime of the entire Network Infrastructure by following best-in-class services.
• Managing the Voice Infrastructure of Linedata offices over the globe, possibly for clients as well.
• Maintain the Asterisk Voice Gateways with appropriate patch/upgrades. Asterisk knowledge is highly preferable
• Responsible for Datacenter Preventive Maintenance, OS Upgrades, Replacement & Hardware Refresh
• Troubleshoot and coordinate with Vendors to resolve complex and SEV-1 issues within committed SLAs
• Ensure proper monitoring and alerting systems are in place to maintain high availability and uptime
• Focus more on standards, automation and scripting to minimize labor-intensive and tedious tasks
• Liaise with customers and Market brokers when configuring 3rd Party secure communication links, e.g. Customer VPN connections or FIX providers.
• Involve in technical discussion with clients to understand their requirements and provide network and security solutions and project budgeted hours and recommend Hardware and Software parts# for proposals
• On occasion this role may be required to assist other Technology Management departments to complete projects.
• May involved in auditing the Network infrastructure and submit the report with remediation and recommendations
• Evaluating new technologies, recommending products and services to ensure improvements and efficiency
• Ensure the successful execution of engineering projects by developing and implementing plans that deliver with planned scope, schedule and budget.
• Develop, document and maintain standard operating procedures and best practices.
• Assist with the network integration of new acquisitions and helping in Site survey and propose recommendations
• Train and knowledge sharing with co-workers to build skillset and effective team
• Due to the global nature of Linedata's business and locations, local and international travel may be required on occasion.

Requirements:

This individual should have 7 to 10 years' experience in providing network support and configuration across multiple technologies, preferably to financial institutions. A strong, broad technical background is must. This individual should be a team player that is keen to assist across the team. Excellent written and verbal communications skills are required for this role as is a solid understanding of, and commitment to, end user support. Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, Voice and Security topologies along with some excellent troubleshooting skills.

Overall Purpose:

The senior network engineering position calls for a highly motivated individual with broad expertise in all areas of network design, maintenance and troubleshooting. In addition, this role will be responsible for Support, Escalation, Deployments and Design for both Data and Voice Network Infrastructure prioritizing with securing Networks. In this highly-visible role, you will manage all technical aspects for both Internal and clients network environment and assist your team as needed. This role will also be managing the Cloud/Hosting Network Infrastructure.
